![]() This time I chose different root pass (first time it was the same as the other) but again nothing, password not correct. Then I repeated the whole installation process (same wireless connection failure, proceeded offline), but the same thing happened. So I tried typing my root password and my user password, in combinations with every DE option (just in case), I tried CAPS LOCK (just in case). Under the field to type the pass, there is a droping menu to choose between some default option, LXDE and openbox. It doesn't show the username I typed during installation, it says "local host". I resumed onward with the installation to the end, which seemed ok.īut when the system boots, it gives me a box to type password. ![]() It is very complicated here in the office to try the option with eth0 (that's cable connection, right?), so I didn't. ![]() And I tried every other given option, but no success. So I downloaded an installation iso with LXDE version, i386.ĭuring the installation process (graphical) there was a problem with wireless - it suggested my network, I chose wpa2 and typed the password. Recently I decided to try to install Debian 7.3 Wheezy on my 2004 laptop, Averatec 3200, 512 MB RAM. Well, I used mint and ubuntu before, but I was always dependent on friends for help and explanations. ![]()
